Rain Barrels

Johnson County encourages individual homeowners and businesses to make improvements to their properties to aid in stormwater quality.

Rain Barrels

Rain barrels provide a free supply of clean, fresh water for outdoor use. They are simple and inexpensive to construct using kits from your local hardware store.  You can also purchase a ready-to-use rain barrel at retail outlets, online,  or from Bridging The Gap.

Through the JOCO reimbursement program, you could receive up to a 50% reimbursement for installing a rain barrel on your property (limit two per household). Please reference your city's reimbursement program for more information and to apply.
